CHC Wellness is proud to introduce DietFreeRX, a seven-week online weight management and lifestyle program. As the name suggest, DietFreeRX is not a diet. Rather, it is a series of proven methods that help participants learn how to lose weight and keep it off without restricting diet, taking pills, or excessive exercise.
Dr. Patrick Angelo, founder of CHC Wellness, developed DietFreeRX specifically to help people with health risks regain control of their lifestyle and live healthier, happier, more enjoyable lives.
"DietFreeRX focuses on how, why and when you eat, not on what you eat," said Dr. Angelo. "Our methods allow patients to understand the reasons why they eat and when they burn fat most effectively. When you understand these important factors, the resulting weight loss and improved overall health is dramatic."
DietFreeRX is available to all CHC Wellness participants, friends and family members. You can learn more at DietFreeRX.com
When it comes to health, walking 5,000 steps a day can pay big dividends. On any given night, you can see the homeless men gathered along Wacker Drive in Chicago. But, what isn’t readily apparent is the generosity and commitment of a man people along this stretch of downtown call, “The Angel of Lower Wacker”.
Twice a week, for the past 12 years, Dr. Patrick Angelo, founder of CHC Wellness, leaves the Northwest Suburbs to deliver blankets, gloves, hats, mittens and up to 80 McDonald’s hamburgers and warm cups of coffee to a group of men he calls “my guys”.
“I have a good life. A good home, five beautiful children and a great business,” says Angelo. “ I have been blessed with a lot and I am called to give back to others out of gratitude for what I have been given.”
Angelo’s bi-weekly trips to Lower Wacker Drive began in 2001 after a thought occurred to him while sitting in his whirlpool on a bitter cold February day. “ I thought, ‘How can I sit here in this warm bath in my beautiful home, when I know people are cold?’ I got up, got dressed and went downtown. I have been doing it ever since.”
